I took your Grant Training in March of this year and applied your techniques when applying for a grant
under the federal Safe Routes to School Program. In the past, we have not been very successful in getting
awards. This year,I submitted six grant applications and would have felt lucky getting one award.
This year we were successful in getting three of the applications awarded, totaling $419,000.

Thanks very much for all of the helpful information I received during your seminar. I think highlighting
and bulleting the information, and mirroring the language used in the application instructions, as you
suggested was instrumental in making the applications successful.
